I have been a Registered clinical Social Worker since 1999 and have been providing clinical counseling for over 23 years. I have a BA in Social Work, Psychology and an ACA in Sociology. I had extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples, working from a collaborative, strength based approach that is mindful of cultural, ethnic and economic concerns.

My goal is to help clients to understand the link between their emotions, thoughts and behaviours to assist them to have insight about the impact in their life and assist them in making positive changes. My focus will be on listening to individual concerns while providing the safe environment you to need to address your concerns. Therapeutic approach includes a combination of cognitive-behavioural therapy, client centered, motivational and solution focused interventions.

I utilize multiple counselling strategies applying the best approach that suits the client’s needs. These include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. I am passionate in the work that I do and love supporting people throughout their most challenging times. I understand the difficulty in allowing yourself to be vulnerable while sharing your story and will hold a safe space for you to do so comfortably. Also, offers Pocketalker Personal Sound Amplifier, which amplifies sounds close to the listener while reducing background noise, making it ideal for use in one on one communication.
