I have an undergraduate degree in Indigenous Social Work (BISW) as well as a graduate degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Regina. I have worked for non-profit agencies, Ministry of Social Services, Child and Youth Mental Health, and as an in patient Addictions Treatment facility. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I am passionate in the work that I do and love supporting people through life challenges. Everyone has a story, and different life experiences which make us all so unique and individual in our own ways. I am passionate about working with children and adolescents and empowering them to grow into their best versions of themselves. I enjoy helping people and guiding them to understand and utilize their own strengths. I find great honor in watching individuals enhance these strengths and move forward in positive personal growth.

I draw from many approaches to match my clients’ needs. These include solution-focused therapy, strength-based therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapy and family systems therapy. I am extensively trained in mediation and conflict resolution.  I strive to incorporate which ever approach best suits a client’s needs.

I have practiced in the field of Social Work / Counselling since 2010. I have been a Registered clinical Social Worker since 1999 and have been providing clinical counseling for over 23 years. I have a BA in Social Work, Psychology and an ACA in Sociology. I had extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples, working from a collaborative, strength based approach that is mindful of cultural, ethnic and economic concerns.

My goal is to help clients to understand the link between their emotions, thoughts and behaviours to assist them to have insight about the impact in their life and assist them in making positive changes. My focus will be on listening to individual concerns while providing the safe environment you to need to address your concerns. Therapeutic approach includes a combination of cognitive-behavioural therapy, client centered, motivational and solution focused interventions.

I utilize multiple counselling strategies applying the best approach that suits the client’s needs. These include Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. I am passionate in the work that I do and love supporting people throughout their most challenging times. My name is Glenna Good and I have been a Registered Social Worker since 2002. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Saskatchewan and my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Regina. I continue to further my formal education with my current enrolment in Somatic Experiencing Therapy.

I bring a wealth of knowledge in working with children, preteens and teens as well as their families through my role of Family Service Worker from 2002-2009. I use a Solution Focused and Family Systems approach in my work with children, youth, individuals and families.

Most recently I have gained expertise in the area of Medical Social Work, working with those navigating our complex health system and linking individuals and their caregivers to the appropriate resources. My current role as Assessor Coordinator has given me valuable insight into working with clients where they are at and developing holistic care plans to move each client forward in their personal journey.
